The Yachtsman South Tower Remediation - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

The task of evaluating and fortifying the high-rise reinforced precast concrete structure was accepted by our firm in 2016.  For only the second time in the United States, Sika USAIgh strength corrosion resistant Post Tension Carbon Fiber Reinforced Plates were implemented as the primary strengthening component in critical areas. Repair methods employing specialized mortars, flexible epoxies, and high pressure epoxy injectants were also utilized. Martinez & Associates is proud to have partnered with Sika, US, Sika Services, Germany, and StressHead AG, Switzerland.

Martinez & Associates proudly partners with RamJack of the Carolinas in serving the foundation repair needs of South CarolinaGeorgia, Tennessee, Louisiana and Northern Florida. From schools and warehouses to residences and retaining walls, adjustable helical anchors and push pier systems are extremely versatile and affordable options to extensive foundation repair.

 

RamJack pier systems include foundation super helicals, slab repair folding brackets, supplemental crawl space beam brackets, wall tie-backs, and new pier foundation systems. Together, these options form a wide array of foundation remediation and new construction elements.

The Palace Garage Restoration - Myrtle Beach, SC

In 2014, Martinez & Associates implemented a detailed evaluation method to remediate all structural precast concrete components of the garage building. Extrication of damaged reinforcement coupled with the integration of high traffic deck coatings, protective sealants, high strength mortars and flexible epoxies served to restore the strength and resilience of the structure. In partnership with Sika USA and James Hadley.

Pier Watch Villas - Cherry Grove, SC

In 2014, Martinez & Associates evaluated this timber frame building for damaged beam, stud and sheathing components. With the integration of industry standard water-protection and flashing standards coupled with the replacement of critical structural and siding components, this oceanfront building is performing as originally intended.

Atlantic Palms Renovation & Story Addition - Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

This mid-rise reinforced concrete structure was originally constructed in 1988. In 2005, Martinez & Associates took on the challenge of improving the existing structural system by reinforcing the driven pier foundation, shearwall and column systems. Extensive testing of the structure was required to determine the feasibility of the addition of two stories and a carefully devised plan to strengthen the building was executed. Through third-party testing agencies and the design direction of Palmetto Architecture, a vastly improved structure highlights this renovated downtown area of Myrtle Beach.
